Here is a little bit about me…

I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor for over 10 years. During this time, I worked at an organization that serves adult individuals with intellectual disabilities, developmental disabilities, those with autism, and other related conditions. I have also been on a pursuit for my PhD in Psychology, specializing in Gerontology. I am a Certified Dementia Practitioner as well as a Certified Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Trainer. I have also completed intensive training for providing immigration evaluations.

Prior to becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor, I was a Special Education teacher at an elementary school in Humble ISD for 7 years. Having the experiences of children and adults in this special population has really contributed to the unique and specialized understanding and delivery of services that make a meaningful impact on an individual. I have also been previously employed at an International Institute in Pennsylvania providing services for immigrants and refugees.

I am married to my best friend and biggest supporter, Kevin for 31 years. We have two adult daughters, Jessica and Emily who are both getting married in the next year and a half! We also have many dogs, cats and birds!! I am a lover of creatures (not to be mistaken for insects), nature, traveling, reading, and cooking.

Lastly, I really enjoy helping the people I provide services to. I gives me great joy to see them take what they have learned in counseling and apply it to their daily life.

I look forward to getting to know a little bit about you as well!
